The Labor Side of George W

For obvious reasons, the popular gaze has so totally trained itself on the war that it becomes possible to  forget (or repress) the myriad domestic horrors wrought by the Bush administration. Bush’s ‘virulent’ opposition to TSA workers’ right to join a union is a case in point. Apparently these national security workers are too “important” to be allowed a voice in the workplace; airport security long being one of the most thankless, entry-level shit jobs in the whole damned service sector, you can imagine the gratitude these workers feel in the face of such “recognition.”
