Long before I discovered Abilene, this band (and this particular track) represented the utmost in slinky, brainy, fascinating guitar/bass interactions.

The way the bass dives into the shrill opening guitar riff – you know? Then come the subsequent time changes, and then comes that regal, weirdly funky final restatement of the beginning, shrill guitar riff.
