‘too emotional’? it probably is, but that’s mumblecore for you. J. Mascis bleeds (breathes?) feedback, and his tears are guitar riffs. Barlow’s the same, but in his own way.
The new Dinosaur alb, and its glorious predecessor, are more emo – in the mature sense of that haunted word - then anything since the original Homestead lp.
